I bought one of these off eBay a few months ago. I was having problems with it alerting to X band then immediately alerting Laser non-stop. [...]. He works for Whistler & said to send it in for a checkup at no cost. I did, and they check it out, tweaked it, and it's been excellent ever since.

How's that for customer service?! No receipt required, nothing, but they still support their equipment no matter what. You can't get much better than that. So customer service is a huge selling factor for Whistler.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I know it's not a high-end radar detector. It works, but I know it doesn't give the greatest detection (range). I get a lot of falses from surrounding radar detectors (Cobras=junk!), but nothing I can't live with.

I would recommend this detector to anyone who wants a decent detector for a good price with excellent customer service. Rating: 4 / 5

I don’t know much about it, apparently it’s working well though. I got it for my g/f’s birthday, and she hasn’t gotten pulled over yet. She tells me that it goes off every once in a while when cops are around, so it sounds like it’s doing it’s job.

I ended up returning this after i had exchanged it for another! Not a good readar detector! not user freindly but it was always giving false alerts and no warning on real alerts! Just a bad unit all the way around!
