Not to be a nosy prick, but what state are you driving in? It looks very quiet and open… refreshing from cluttered Mass. Great video as well, mine in in a FedEx van as I type this

I have been using the Passport Escort 9500x for about six months now – two or three true “saves” but i am seeing a lot of silence from the POP or Instant on, especially from the State Troopers not just the the city LEO’s. So…don’t be lulled and think the RD is all you need – as is said, if he shot you he got you!”

There is really no way to tell accept as you said. I suppose if you suspect this is the case you could look for a roadside “speed sign” that tells your speed and drive by it a bunch of times to test it.This isn’t always a help because they are always k-band and half the time they are out of tune themselves and are rarely calibrated. You would also need one in ka band and newer radar guns are never used in these signs. The v1 has no visual warning whatsoever about calibaration at startup.

how can you tell besides noticing alot of very late warnings?

The v1 will frequently go “out of tune” with no warning whatsoever which will severely compromise it’s detection range. The v1 self/test is no help at all picking this condition up. If you even slightly suspect your v1 of losing sensitivity send it back to the factory for a retune imediately!! Very important!
