This Valentine 1 isn’t new at all, it’s a 1.7 hardware version, which isn’t as good on Ka as the newer units.

Second, if you want to run a valid test, grab a buddy, give him a 2 way radio, have him drive away a few miles and then turn back. Run your radar on other cars and tell him to radio when he picks up you. The latest Valentine 1 is the 1.8 hardware and 3.872 software.

I think I’m gonna get the V1 I live in a big city but I will speed on the highway only.

Yeah, I’m done with speeding for the most part. I stopped getting tickets once I got the Valentine, but eventually I realized it’s better to just not speed 99% of the time. It doesn’t save as much time as you think to go faster than 70 or so anyway. I might go pretty fast to pass, but I drop the speed quick.

I like your idea of waiting for someone eles to speed ahead and for the most part I do the samething. I like Escort radar detectors myself but its all really what you like. I try not to speed at all if I can help it.

I agree, however it’s important as a driver that uses a Radar Detector to not speed in open roads if you’re alone… and to wait for another driver to speed ahead of you so you can use him as the bait. I’ve been using that method and have no tickets. The Valentine 1 is awesome

How often do you calibrate your radar and can you calibrate it by your self or does a technition have to do that ,Great video

detecting instant on radar is just like detecting laser once your detector sounds off its already to late so its really more like the sound of a speeding ticket so be ready to be pulled over to get your ticket.

does the new v1 miss any instant on radar sens you been using it?
