Speeding on I-40

well i think im in the minority here. i drive an 18 wheeler for a living. been a trucker for 32 years. my wish is that the speed limit nationwide was 60 mph. i also wish that speeding fines and punishment where so high that you wouldnt even dream of speeding. i also wish the speed laws where enforced for every body equally including police. the hardest part of my job is driving around speeders and tailgators,truckers and cars alike.

The driver of the car.. disrupting the flow of traffic, is the biggest hazard on that highway. Not the speeds of the other vehicles. If your going to go the speed limit, you need to be in the far right lane on a 4 way highway. Not even the one next to it.

Speed limit laws are stupid.

Fine people for aggressive driving. I have seen plenty of idiots swerve in and out of traffic doing 50mph. I would rather see them punished than those driving safely at 75mph.

Speed limits, like most rules that are set for the entire population, are bullshit. When conditions are right it is perfectly safe to drive well into the seventies.
Stay to the right unless you’re passing.

Most Americans (yes I am one of them) have no common sense on the road and that is the real reason why we have so many accidents here. Remember Speeders are paying attention to the road, slow poke normally are not paying attention due the things such as talking or texting on the phone.

I think I saw my great grandma pass you in the video. I didn’t see any unsafe driving in this video. Speed limits such as 55 on a multi lane freeway are mainly set so they can make money off speeders. The true fact is slower drivers are more unsafe than speeders. I do give you some credit for at least being toward the right lane while going slow. Europe has no speed limit in some areas and have less fatalities than the US due to just plain common sense driving.

sir, you are creating a bigger danger by doing the speed limit in that area because of all the traffic and speeding. its safer to go with the flow of traffic than 10 miles slower than everyone else

This is stupid. The law says for slower traffic to stay to the right. The problem here is not speeding, its a speed trap for fast easy income.

55 is a 1980’s old speed limit. 65-70 is good through there…especially with all those lanes

I think some flexibility is needed and some expertise, thing is, limits r set for the worst drivers, so u may be safe doing 100mph (theres a compliment for u, wierd most youtubers insult each other!lol!) but some average driver may not.
U cant have different speeds for different cars because of all these cars doing different speeds.

Goto autobahn in europe and rent a mercedes with a big engine and do over 170mph legally!
They have minimum speeds aswell!

uh, everybody speeds on the interstate, here jacksonville, 85-90mph is the average for 65mph speed limit.
