Arent’ the radars located a little high on the windshield? I read it is better to locate them closer to the bottom of the windshield since it can more readily catch radar beems, since police aim for flat object like your license plate.

ehem, at 0:37 and 0:47 those are not false alerts, we have 5 V1 first editions and 9 v1 second editions in our work trucks and that false alert… it is caused by store door openers at markets and what not. it picks that up and cobras give off a weird signal that triggers th x band. if u get a J it is saying that it recognizes that it is a False Alert. if it is picking up “J” when its a real Ka or LAxA cop its time to take your V1 in for a tuneup

hey bra when you driving on the highway and the direction is left or right it’s too fucking late to slow down anyway. rear is useless. and forward is the only practical way.

I’ve had 2 Escort 8500’s in the past and I always prefered them more than my friends’ Valentines. The v1’s just don’t stfu up. Their arrows are a useless feature unless you are trying to impress a Ukranian peasant girl.

Hard to fight traps, with the 9500, when you don’t get a count on how many bogeys there are and of course did I mention I can tell you in which direction the bogey is coming from????
The wonders of the Valentine One!!!!

I’ve never had a my V-1 read a garage door opener yet. I also think the V-1 alerts seconds sooner than the 9500, and when it comes to radar….every second counts in response time. I’ve been riding with V-1 for almost 15 years and haven’t ever gotten a speeding ticket. The Newest V-1 version even has an onboard “junk” radar deciefer to eliminate as many of the cheap detectors as possible and it will let you know when it picks up false readings an you can even disable the X-band mode! yeah dick? The last run of this video would of had your sorry ass a ticket.

Want to talk about laser detection, POP mode detection, rear same lane radar detection with no front deflection media? Your ass would be grass.

Yeah the v1 falses more, its more sensitive. The Escort will false to the same sources if it was closer to them.

The Escort didn’t alert until it was with in throwing distance of the source.

When you have both detectors on they could possibly partially cancel each other out and lead to False Conclusions.

Valentine also will periodically update the detector’s software and since I first purchased my V-1, I paid for a Major Upgrade.

Have a couple of Unidens which like the 9500 use GPS but the Ka Band doesn’t come close to the V-1. Also own Escort 7500 which is on par with the Uniden GPS.

I bought both the V1 and the 9500 with the intention of returning one of them.

With the V1 in inteligent mode and the escort in auto, the difference in number of falses is huge. The escort knows when you are going 5 mph in a parking lot and essentially shuts off.

My 9500 has new software and rampup is good.
I had no decision to defend when I chose the 9500. Problem was I was learning to ignore first few braps of V1. So slight sensitivity advantage is moot.

your retarded
fucking v1 zombie..what ever enjoy your false alarms, my 9500i DOES has the ramp up fix and some people on that site dont have theirs fixed, and i know this cuz im a member on that site…

Go to radardetectordotnet and you will see that the Escort 9500i still locks out police radar and has crappy ramp up. Door openers operate on X and K band and it is the exact same frequency that cops use so no detector knows the differece including the Escort 9500i. The Escort still has issues with blocking out whole segments of X and K band radar that cops use too.

theres just so many door openers here in the small town I live the V1 would annoy the piss out of me. The 9500i is perfect for me because its just so quiet and I like the voice alerts over brap, and brap brap. V1 is more for people who drive on the highway alot (not me) but even though it has the most sensitive laser detection its useless because that wont save you from laser, whitch is why I also run a jammer =]

The V1 does too have more falses than the 9500i because it has no way of telling the difference between door openers and actual police radar, and even though the V1 is more sensitive to radar, its not neccesarily a good thing just means more time you have to wait to see the source and the truelock does work buy one and you will see and the ramp up was fixed like last year dude. I have nothing against the V1 I was going to get one but

The Valentine One does not have more falses as you call them. It is more sensitive to police radar frequencies and lidar and it has an actual rear radar antenna so it will alert longer to a source. Your video proves that the V1 is more sensitive and it will alert for a longer time than the 9500. On top of that, the V1 is $50-$100 cheaper than the 9500 and the Escort has crappy ramp up of alerts. The true lock feature on the 9500 is flawed and will block out actual police X and K band radar.
